Givelify CEO Walle Mafolasire Honored by Indiana Minority Business Magazine
This week, Givelify founder and CEO Walle Mafolasire was one of 11 recipients honored to receive a 2017 Golden Laurel award for excellence in technology and development by the Indiana Minority Business Magazine.
The award was presented by Indiana Minority Business Magazine in partnership with the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council at a reception sponsored by IndyGo – Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation and the Indianapolis Recorder.
The reception was attended by luminaries of Indianapolis business, technology, and government, including long-time friend and supporter, former Mayor of Indianapolis Greg Ballard, who offered his congratulations.
“It’s amazing what has happened with your company. I congratulate you so much for helping so many people. Doing good work is good business also, so congratulations.”
Greg Ballard, former Mayor of Indianapolis
During the Ballard administration, Givelify partnered with the City of Indianapolis for the annual Pack the Pantries hunger relief campaign. Walle was unable to attend the event due to a scheduling conflict, so Pastor Ron Pulliam, Givelify’s Vice President of Denominational Relations accepted on his behalf.
“While Silicon Valley is often recognized as the hub for technology innovation, emerging leaders and innovative companies like the ones we will honor have put the Hoosier state on the map.
“I am excited to recognize these extraordinary honorees that represent exactly what Hoosiers are capable of during this season’s Golden Laurel Professional Reception.”
Shannon Williams, IMBM President
